I ran growth inside a SaaS company. We ran 4 of these 5 tactics and the one I skipped is the one I'd go back and run first.
1. Persona-specific landing pages
This is the one I didn't run. And it's the one I regret. I ran it later on another brand and it was one of the biggest unlocks I've seen.
Break your audience into personas, and build a dedicated landing page, campaigns and ads for each one. Each persona gets its own hook, its own proof, its own creative. Bigger addressable audience. Higher conversion rate. Same product.
2. Let creators go off-script
The instinct is to send an influencer a tight brief with approved copy and required beats. What you get back is polished, and it converts like an ad.
B2C brands do the opposite: send the product, ask for the creator's real angle, let them sell it their way. What you get is creative you wouldn't have thought of, from someone the audience already trusts. Tight briefs feel safer. Loose briefs convert better.
3. Spread the spend across channels
Your potential buyers are scrolling Facebook and Instagram, watching YouTube. Test these channels. Measure the incrementality (geo lift, etc.).
But aim for a meaningful event — make sure you have at least 50 conversions per week from it. So the system has enough data to learn from.
4. Build an affiliate program
Pay comparison sites, YouTube creators whose content stays relevant for years, or niche community owners a commission per sale.
No sale, no payment. High ROI, low risk. One of the highest-ROI channels in B2C.
5. Obsess over measurement
Question your attribution model. Run incrementality tests. Ask where the next dollar delivers the highest value.
Do you have an attribution question in your funnel ("where did you hear about us?")? Are you running geo tests? Are you tracking impressions and clicks too — not just sales and signups?
Watch what strong brands like Nutrafol, Gruns, and Ridge are doing. There's a lot of creative range there that SaaS teams can borrow from.
